Kevin Hurd posted the below image in the Halo Collectors Forums yesterday. It is from an email he received from Sideshow that indicates we won’t be seeing their Master Chief statue until August. Yet another Halo product delay, this following the earlier announcement that McFarlane’s next wave of Halo figures won’t see release until a similar time frame.

Mine just came in the mail yesterday. This stuff is no longer being marketed since Microsoft shut Liberty Ammunition down on it, so if you want a box for an interesting Halo collectible or a conversation piece, you’d better try to track down some before it dries up. Not to mention, it would be useful if the Covenant ever invades!

Wiiwhitey has brought news to the Halo Collectors Forums from a McFarlane distributor about the next series in the Halo figure line, as well as the fate of the Micro Ops line:

“Halo 4 Series 2 will be re-solicited and will now release in September. Unfortunately, the Micro Ops Program has been cancelled and will not be made.”

That’s a long stretch of time before the next new figures are released.

Kass from the Halo Collectors Forums has provided us an update on ThreeA’s upcoming new line of high-end poseable figures (info from Brent of ThreeA):

“I don’t have a shipping update at this time, but I can say that all the packaging designs are complete and approved by 343 and Ashley and are off to press.
For people that like the look of some of the various Halo special edition game packaging over the years, the boxes are definitely in that style.
Clean, minimalist, bold design with all the nice Halo graphic design accoutrements. I’ll poke around and see if we can post any more info / pics – no promises but I’ll check!”
