Examiner has posted some new details about the Promethians in Halo 4. They obtained the info via NeoGAF, where a member there posted the new details that are coming in the upcoming October issue of Game Informer magazine. Click HERE to read the details, but be warned there are what some may consider to be small campaign spoilers…

This week’s Halo Bulletin from bsangel has plenty of interesting facts to reveal, including:

– The Capture The Flag playlist at launch will only offer 2-Flag CTF, and will be played on 5 non-forged maps…

– A breakdown of all the new CTF mode rules and features…

– The armor options shown at PAX are the full set of armor that will be in the released game…

– The Mark VI armor will be unlocked by beating the campaign on Legendary…

– Each game mode will offer its own medal point system, so that people will be rewarded for playing the mode as intended (ed. as opposed to trying to rack up kills in objective gametypes and ignoring the objective like some of you jerks do)…

– We will be getting a new video in next week’s bulletin (ed. A Hero Awakens Part 2?)…

“On August 24th, Soutaro Tojima, the audio director for Halo 4 announced that there would be a change in the Japanese voice over cast for the main characters, Master Chief and Cortana. While the English version voices would remain as Steve Downes for Master Chief and Jen Taylor for Cortana, the Japanese cast (originally Atsuki Tani and Akiko Koike) would be replaced by voice actors Rikiya Koyama and Ayumi Fujimura.

The change in cast was almost immediately met with a stream of confused, worried and angry twitter posts directed at Tojima and his decision. Tojima replied that the voice cast choice was “strongly influenced by ‘my own feelings’” and that when the game is released and people play it, if they are disappointed by the cast, it will be entirely his responsibility. Unsatisfied with Tojima’s response, Japanese fans have put up an online petition to have the original voice actors reinstated.”

The Halo 4 version of Capture the Flag is going to debut at PAX this weekend, and GameTrailers.com has posted some images in advance. They also show off the map Exile. Also of interest is that it looks like we finally may be able to shoot while carrying the flag! Check out all of the images by clicking HERE!

The one night I go to bed early, the Halo Bulletin comes out late night. The good thing is, it was a nice surprise when I got up this morning! This week we get a look at the various button layouts for Halo 4, info on what we can expect to see at PAX this weekend, and an interview with the project manager of the Halo-themed personal gaming environment that I posted about on Monday.
